An application to help emergency services crews assist people injured or trapped inside vehicles has been introduced by Abu Dhabi Police.
The programme, called Crash Recovery System, contains a sophisticated database for all types of vehicles.
It allows rescuers to find hazards such as airbags, sensors, high-pressure electrical wiring, automatic seatbelt pretensioners, fuel tanks and engines.
Rescuers have been trained in using the system in cases of serious accidents, such as the fast evacuation of those injured.
