One man dead in early morning Dubai crash

DUBAI // A man was killed on Al Khail Road after two lorries collided early on Tuesday morning.

Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, acting director of Dubai Police Traffic Department, said the crash took place at 3.15am when two trucks crashed on the southbound carriage of Al Khail Road near Dubai Creek.

He said speed, inattention or tailgating could be causes of the incident that killed the driver of the vehicle at fault.

Colonel Al Mazroui urged drivers to exercise caution on the road, avoid driving when tired and drowsy and observe traffic rules at all times.

The crash caused major tailbacks on the road for several hours.
