Al Ain Municipality, in cooperation with the Department of Transport and Traffic Engineering and Patrols, has announced the introduction of new traffic signals and traffic control cameras at the Al Diwan roundabout in as of April 10.
The works are part of a project targeting the schools area. The signals will be operational during peak hours, from 6am to 11pm, in a step to manage and facilitate traffic flow and the safety of road users.
Eng Ahmed Khamis Al-Thib Al Nuaimi, director of the project at Al Ain Municipality, said that the lights at Al Diwan roundabout will alleviate traffic jams for road users coming from the schools area towards the city centre and towards the administrative district.
