Motorist dies after car plunges into RAK ravine

RAS AL KHAIMAH // A 24-year-old Emirati motorist died after his car veered off the road, rolled over and ended up on its roof in a ravine.

The police operations room was notified early on Tuesday morning that the car had been found.

Police and ambulances drove to the scene but the driver, R M K, was found dead and his body was taken to hospital.

He was driving home from work along the Khalifa bin Zayed Road in Kadra.

Col Ali Saeed Al Elkum, head of RAK Police’s Traffic and Patrols Department, urged all motorists to rest if they feel tired, avoid speeding and observe the traffic rules.
