ABU DHABI // All paid public parking areas in the capital will be free of charge on Sunday to mark Israa wal Miraj.
The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport’s Customer Care Centres will be closed on Sunday, reopening on Monday, when parking fees will also resume.
The department’s Integrated Transport Centre urged all drivers to avoid parking their vehicles in prohibited areas at any time, including residents’ parking bays from 9 pm to 8 am.
Parking will also be free in Dubai with public transport timings also being affected by the Islamic holiday.
