Egyptian driver killed in Sharjah Corniche crash

SHARJAH // A 27-year-old Egyptian was killed on Friday evening after losing control of his car and crashing into a shop front near the Corniche.

The man was taken by ambulance to Kuwaiti Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

An official said the victim had a heart condition.

“There was a pacemaker in the deceased’s body, which means he has a heart condition,” said the official.

The body has been transferred to Sharjah Police forensics lab.

Officers have launched an investigation into the accident.
