Roads will be closed across six emirates for the Dubai Tour from Tuesday to Saturday this week. The Tour will begin in Dubai with roads closing between 10.30am and 3.30pm each day. Each road will be closed to traffic for approximately 10 minutes as cyclists pass through before reopening again, the Roads and Transport Authority said. Here are the roads that will be effected: <strong>Stage 1: Tuesday, January 31</strong> The first stage of Dubai Tour begins at Dubai International Marine Sports Club on King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Street and continues to Palm Jumeirah. Cyclists will travel along Sheikh Zayed Road, Jebel Ali-Lehbab Street, Dubai-Al Ain Street, Al Lisaili Street, Al Qudra Street, Emirates Street, Umm Suqeim Street, pass through internal streets in Motor City and Dubai Sports City’s inner streets. Cyclists will also cross over Hessa Street, Al Asayil Street, Qarn Al Sabkha Street, Al Wurood Street, First Al Khail Street, Al Naseem Street, Al Fulk Street, Abdullah Omran Tariam Street, the service road along Sheikh Zayed Road, and end at Palm Jumeirah. <em>›</em><em> See the full tour map here: </em><a href="http://www.thenational.ae/sport/cycling/dubai-tour-2017-map-and-courses-for-all-five-stages">Dubai Tour 2017: Map and courses for all five stages</a> <strong>Stages 2, 3, 4: Wednesday, February 1 to Friday, February 3</strong> The second stage will start at Dubai International Marine Sports Club and heads to Ras Al Khaimah for a distance of 187km. Cyclists will pass Umm Suqeim Street, Al Khail Road, Ras Al Khor Street, Al Aweer Street, Emirates Road, and then enter Sharjah before going through Ras Al Khaimah. The third stage kicks off at Dubai International Marine Sports Club and heads towards Fujairah over a distance of 200km. Cyclists will pass Umm Suqeim Street, Al Khail Road, Ras Al Khor Street, Dubai-Al Ain Street, internal streets in Silicon Oasis, Academic City Street, Al Aweer Street and Emirates Road towards Sharjah and down to Fujairah. The fourth stage starts from Dubai International Marine Sports Club and goes towards Hatta over a distance of 172km. The track will take cyclists through Umm Suqeim Street, Al Khail Road, Ras Al Khor Street, Aweer Street and the Hatta-Oman Road towards Sharjah and Fujairah before moving down to Hatta. <strong>Stage 5: Saturday, February 4</strong> The fifth and final stage will begin at Dubai International Marine Sports Club, travelling 127km to Walk City. Cyclists will travel through Umm Suqeim Street, Al Asayil Street, Oasis Street, First Al Khail Road, Meydan Street, Dubai-Al Ain Road, Oud Metha Street, Al Khail Road, Rabat Street, Tripoli Street, Mushrif Park, Al Khawaneej Street, 222 Street, Tunisia Street, Al Nahda Street, Damascus Street, Baghdad Street and Cairo Street. Cyclists will then pass over Al Mamzar Beach Street, Al Khaleej Street and Baniyas Street before crossing through Al Maktoum Bridge. The Tour continues on Khalid bin Waleed Street, Al Musalla Street in Bur Dubai, Al Fahidi Street, Ali bin Abi Talib Street, Ghubaiba Street, Al Falah Street, Al Khaleej Street, Sheikh Rashid Street, Jumeirah Street, Umm Al Sheef Street, Al Wasl Street, Al Safa Street, before ending at City Walk. newsdesk@thenational.ae
