Dubai Police introduce new luxury motorcycles to fleet

Dubai Police have added luxury motorbikes to their fleet of patrol vehicles as part of efforts to entrench Dubai as a city of luxurious services.

Maj Gen Khamis Al Mazeina, chief of Dubai Police, said the department was seeking to upgrade patrols, be they cars, bikes or boats, in an attempt to enhance police presence at major tourist sites. They are also keen on keeping up with the latest international standards and innovations to establish safety and security, ensure traffic rules are enforced and promote the city as a tourism hub, he said.

Maj Gen Al Mazeina also noted that the motorcycles are fit for specialised police action in close and tight spaces by helping policemen act in an efficient and fast manner. They can also be used during events and in commercial and tourist areas.
