Motorists heading to Jumeirah Beach Residence should prepare for three months of disruption as roads close for pedestrian improvements. The Roads and Transport Authority announced some road closures and diversions will be in place for the rest of the year while works take place on a new pedestrian bridge. Intersections at King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street and Al Gharbi Street will be affected, with right exits to and from The Walk partially closed from 6pm on Sunday, October 6. Although division signs will be in place, drivers are encouraged to use Al Gharbi Street until the intersection of Al Marsa Street and then turn right from Al Sayora Street to access the area. Al Yolat Street is also suggested as an alternative route. The work is expected to continue until December 31.
