Dh120m work to improve traffic flow and safety in Al Ain is on right road

AL AIN // Work to improve traffic flow and road safety in the private schools’ area is progressing well.

Al Ain Municipality is implementing the fourth phase of a Dh120 million project to reduce congestion and increase capacity of roads in the area

The project included reconstructing roundabouts as junctions and adding new lanes to roads.

The roadworks, part of a series of strategic projects undertaken by the municipality, is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

In the fourth phase, Al Muroor and Shoueifat school roundabouts will be converted to traffic light-controlled junctions, with work due to finish before the start of the next school year.

New parking spaces will be added and traffic in the parking area will be regulated to meet the expected annual increase of 880 parking spaces.

Traffic lights at the intersection of Amouriah and Al Nasr also have been put into operation.
