Commuters experienced rush-hour congestion in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday morning.
Abu Dhabi police warned of congestion around Al Saada Bridge towards the city centre and on Khaleej Al Arabi Street heading into the island.
No crashes or major congestion had been reported in Dubai, apart from some traffic delays.
Slight delays were reported on the E88 - Al Dhaid Road starting from Sharjah International Airport until the E611 - Emirates Road. The slow movement was attributed to ongoing roadworks.
Delays were also reported at around 7am on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road starting from Sports City for those driving towards the DIP roundabout to go to Abu Dhabi or the Greens Community.
