Crews tackle blaze as occupants escape injury

A bus burst into flames while driving through Dubai's financial district on Monday.

The accident happened on the main road through the Dubai International Financial Centre at about 1pm, an official from Dubai Civil Defence said.

Firefighters from Al Ittihad fire station extinguished the blaze in about 15 minutes and no injuries were reported.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire but urged motorists to regularly maintain their vehicles.
