Adnoc vehicle inspection centres to operate on weekends

ABU DHABI // Motorists in the capital will soon be able to get their vehicles inspected on weekends.

Starting August 1 a number of Adnoc’s vehicle inspection centres will begin operating on Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm.

The move to extend hours in the centres in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Mahawi and Al Samha, was in response to customers’ requests said Khalid Hadi, vice president of marketing and communications at Adnoc Distribution.

“This announcement articulates our efforts to streamline the procedures of vehicles inspection services in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi,” he said.

The new system will streamline licensing procedures, include an easy fee payment mechanism, offer quick inspection procedures on weekends, and reduce waiting time according to Adnoc’s statement.

It will be piloted at Abu Dhabi’s main vehicle inspection centre before being extended across the city.
