Deregulation may be pushing up petrol prices across the UAE but consumers of liquefied petroleum gas will be paying less for their fuel at Adnoc service stations in the Northern Emirates from Sunday.
New LPG prices will see a 25lb cylinder refilled for Dh27, rather than the previous price of Dh28.
Adnoc Distribution currently provides more than 3,000 subsidised cylinders daily at service stations in Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.
Holders of Rahal ‘E-Gas’ cards in the Northern Emirates are entitled to purchase the subsidised gas cylinders, used in cooking equipment and vehicles.
Khalid Hadi, vice president of corporate communications at Adnoc, said the revision reflects the decline in prices of oil and gas around the world.
