DUBAI // Accidents were reported in Dubai with traffic slowing to a crawl for Sharjah and Abu Dhabi bound commuters due to early foggy conditions on the roads. An accident was reported on Al Khail Road near the pond park with tailbacks reported. Two more accidents were reported near the Mall of the Emirates, and another was reported after the Outlet Village and Dubai Parks exit with heavy fog slowing down traffic heading in to Abu Dhabi. Traffic snarls were also reported in the usual spots for Sharjah-bound commuters on Sheikh Zayed Road near Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Business Bay and World Trade Centre areas and on Al Khail Road before the Meydan exit. In the capital, heavy traffic was reported on Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street near Al Noor Hospital and on Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street before the Al Bateen Airport exit. Dubai Police asked motorists to exercise more caution by leaving sufficient distance between vehicles to cope with the low visibility caused by the fog. newsdesk@thenational.ae
