A 4x4 car burst into flames following a crash during morning rush hour in Abu Dhabi. The Nissan Patrol was involved in a collision with two other vehicles, a Mazda 6 and another Patrol, on the sliproad joining Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street, formerly known as Salam Street, just after Sheikh Zayed Bridgeat at about 8am on Sunday. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene and police later identified tailgating as being the cause of the accident. No injuries were reported and firefighters were quickly able to bring the blaze under control. The fire initially resulted in long tailbacks for commuters.
