Roadworks around Dubai Marina and Media City will continue in 2012 as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) focuses its attention on the tram service that will run along Al Sufouh Road and serve the Dubai Marina area. The project is set to be completed in November 2014 and aims to carry about 3,000 passengers a day.
The RTA has also said it plans to spend Dh44 billion on 500 kilometres of roads in the next nine years to improve the emirate's transport networks.
