ABU DHABI // Families on long haul flights are now more likely than ever to be offered help in the form of a “flying nanny”.

Etihad Airways has just completed training its 1,000th member of staff in providing childcare services to passengers.

“When we introduced the Flying Nanny last year our aim was to provide a helping hand to families flying and since then the positive feedback from customers has been overwhelming,” said Aubrey Tiedt, Etihad Airways’ vice president for guest services.

“We now often have two flying nannies on our most popular flights especially to London and destinations in the United States.”
