SHARJAH // Four Emiratis from one family including two young children were killed and another was injured in a collision between two vehicles in Mleiha on Friday.
The dead were taken to Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah before being released to their family, while the injured person was taken to Al Dhaid Hospital for treatment.
The survivor, a 22-year-old, was said to have suffered moderate injuries, while the others died instantly when the vehicles collided on Mleiha Road.
Sharjah Police said a speeding car strayed into the oncoming lane and crashed head-on with a 4x4.
The dead were identified as 34-year-old Adil MS and 26-year-old Azara MM, as well as their children, four-year-old MS and six-month-old Mohra Adil.
Police were alerted to the crash at 12.40pm on Friday. An investigation has been launched.

Khalifa Mubarak (24) An accomplished centre-back, the Al Nasr defender’s progress has been hampered in the past by injury. With not many options in central defence, he would bolster what can be a problem area.
