sharjah // Three men died in a fire that broke out in a furniture warehouse in an area of Kalba.
Fire crews from Sharjah Civil Defence were called to the scene on Friday after reports of a huge blaze in the area.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene at 9.12am when the three workers – all of Asian origin – were found dead.
Lt Col Sami Al Naqbi of Sharjah Civil Defence confirmed the fire started at about 8.45am. The site was cooled down by civil defence teams, who handed control of the situation to Sharjah police. Forensic teams were trying to identify the cause of the blaze.
