DUBAI // Two teenagers were attacked by a gang with knives after going to a friend’s house to use the toilet, a court heard.
Emiratis M S and K A, both 19, were with two Sudanese sisters when they went to the home of F M O, in Al Warqa.
They said they were assaulted by a gang of up to seven people outside the house including F M O, who was friends with M S.
M S said he met the girls on June 13 last year at Mirdif City Centre mall.
They left together in a car and when they were near F M O’s villa, he went in to use the toilet.
When he went back to the car, the friend approached him.
“F M O asked why I had been in his house,” he said. “He assaulted me with a knife. He stabbed me five times in my left leg and thigh.”
He said a group of seven people then set upon the Emirati youths with knives.
KA said he was stabbed four times in the shoulder and leg.
The gang threatened to kill them and burn down their houses if they reported the incident to police, the court heard.
The Sudanese girls, A T, 14, and A A T, 17, were charged at Dubai Juvenile Court with incitement to sin and entering the house in Al Warqa without permission.
The Emirati teenagers also face charges of entering the house.
F M O said he called his friend and thought he heard the echo of his voice on the phone, which made him suspect M S was in his house.
“I asked him where he was and he said he was at Mirdif City Centre, but the echo made me feel he was near,” he said.
“Then I found him in my house with the girls, so I lost my temper and assaulted him and A K.”
He was referred to the Dubai Criminal Court to face a charge of attempted murder of the two Emiratis.
