ABU DHABI // Strong winds on Tuesday are expected to pick up dust and reduce visibility along motorways, forecasters warned.

Partly cloudy skies and high humidity will lead to a slight drop in temperature, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said.

In the capital and Dubai, temperatures are expected to range between 27°C and 38°C. Further inland temperatures will dip at 22°C and peak at 42°C. A range of 17°C to 30°C is forecast in the mountains.

On Monday the highest temperature recorded was 48.2°C in Mezaira in Al Dhafra, near the Saudi Arabian border, at 2pm.

Seas will be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough by Tuesday evening in the Sea of Oman.

Humidity will increase overnight leading to a chance of fog on Wednesday morning as temperatures start to climb again.
