Sheikh Zayed foundation announces Ramadan programme

The Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation has announced its Ramadan programme for this year.

The programme will carry out initiatives both in the UAE and abroad.

The foundation is coordinating with a number of charitable institutions in the country to provide Iftar meals to workers in the UAE.

Ahmed Shabib Al Dhaheri, director general of the foundation, said that this is being done as per the directives of Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed, chairman of the board of trustees, and Sheikh Omar bin Zayed, deputy chairman of the board.

Mr Al Dhaheri also explained that coordination has been made with UAE embassies in 23 countries to support the programme which will be implemented in 45 countries.

Iftar meals will be distributed in Egypt, Lebanon, Mauritania, Sudan, Argentina, Uruguay, Portugal, Turkey, Kosovo, Malaysia, France, Spain, Andorra, Romania, Moldova, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Italy, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, Mexico, Nigeria, Thailand, South Korea, Australia, Brazil, Bolivia, Trinidad and Tobago, Ecuador, Venezuela, Suriname, Tanzania, Malawi, Seychelles, Zambia and Uganda.
