The Egyptian Embassy in Abu Dhabi has praised Dr Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi'sdonation of more than 4,000 rare original manuscripts, folders, books, encyclopedias and maps to the Institute for the Advancement of Scientific Research. Also known as the Egyptian Scientific Complex and Science Academy in Cairo, the oldest scientific academy in Egypt burned down last year. Egyptian ambassador to UAE, Tamer Mansour, said Egyptians were pleased with the valuable gift. Sheikh Sultan also ordered the reconstruction of the complex at acost of 50m Egyptian pounds.
