Sheikh Hamdan visits national service recruits in Liwa

Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, has hailed the National and Reserve Service Law issued by President Sheikh Khalifa, to defend the homeland, maintain its stability and security.

He also commended the follow up by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Supreme Council Members and Rulers of all the emirates and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

Sheikh Hamdan made the remarks on Wednesday, while visiting the Liwa training centre for recruits of the National and Reserve Service in the Western Region, state news agency Wam reported.

He met the recruits and got acquainted with their training programmes and the skills they have acquired.

Sheikh Hamdan added that enrolling in the national and reserve service instils loyalty, sense of belonging and sacrifice values, as well as shouldering responsibility and making use of spare time.

He called on Emirati youth to respond to the call of duty.

He also expressed his pride and appreciation for Emiratis who have enrolled in the service. At the end of the visit, he extended his thanks and appreciation to trainers and families of the recruits.
