The department of traffic and patrols at Sharjah Police revealed more than 60 vehicles were seized during a meeting to discuss results of a traffic campaign launched this month.
Lt Col Ahmed bin Darwish, the head of the department, said a total of 62 vehicles have been seized in the campaign’s second week.
The campaign is part of an initiative to reduce road fatalities in the emirate and to find solution to reckless behaviour on roads, especially in areas with high youth concentrations.
