DUBAI // A security guard raped a maid while she was cleaning a bedroom in a villa, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
However, Indian AA, 31, told the presiding judge that he had consensual sex with Filipina AB on July 5 last year.
The 32-year-old victim told the court that she worked for a housekeeping service company and was hired to clean the villa.
“The owner was not at the villa at the time. The defendant came to the bedroom and asked me to sit down on the bed. When I asked him why, he pushed me on the bed and jumped on top of me” AB said.
“He pinned me on the bed and took off my clothes before he raped me.”
After 10 minutes, AA left and told AB not to tell anyone what had happened.
Yemini police officer AMA, 43, said in his affidavit that AB came to the police station to report that she had been raped.
“She told us that she tried to resist but he overpowered her,” said AMA.
AB told police she didn’t scream because she was in a state of shock and fear.
AA was arrested at the villa. At Dubai Criminal Court, he entered a plea of not guilty.
The next hearing is set for April 27.
