Saudi Arabia's pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai is complete. The six-storey building symbolises the kingdom's rich history, ancient culture and natural wonders. A water feature alongside a 1,320 square metre inclined mirror screen is expected to be a major attraction. An art installation embedded with 2,030 crystals, to represent the Saudi Vision 2030, is also expected to wow visitors. Vision 2030 is a plan to diversify Saudi's economy and reduce its dependence on oil. The pavilion is second in size only to of the UAE and covers an area of 13,069 sq m – equivalent to two football pitches. Sustainability is also at the heart of the Saudi pavilion with the structure featuring 650 solar panels sourced from Saudi entrepreneurs and manufactured in the country. In keeping with the overarching theme of Expo 2020 Dubai – "connecting minds, creating the future" – the pavilion will take visitors on a guided tour of the wonders of the country’s 13 regions through immersive and interactive experiences. Expo 2020 Dubai was postponed until October 1, 2021, because of the coronavirus pandemic. Organisers are hoping to attract millions of people from around the globe during the event's six-month run. ________________
