RAK inmates participate in Quran recital competition

Twenty-two convicts wil l take part in the contest which is part of a series of events organised by the prison.

Inmates at a prison in Ras Al Khaimah are to take part in a Quran memorisation and recital contest.

Twenty two convicts from RAK Police’s Punitive and Correctional Institution will participate in the event organised by the jail for inmates, with support from the RAK Holy Quran Foundation.

Col Ahmad Salem Al Saloomi, the governor of the prison, said the contest focused the convicts on something productive and that they were judged by experts in the field of intonation.

The contest is part of a series of events and competitions organised by the jail.
