DUBAI // A labourer who was hired by a father to teach the Quran to his two children molested one of his students, the Criminal Court heard on Sunday.
Prosecutors said that A P, 30, from Bangladesh, had twice molested the Pakistani girl in May. The girl’s father, A B, 37, said he had hired A P to give Quran lessons to his son, 5, and daughter, 7.
“On May 10, my son came to my room upstairs and said to me that the Quran teacher was a bad man. As I was asking him why, his sister came to the room and told me how the teacher had touched her private parts,” he said.
Police investigations found evidence of the molestation.
A P confessed to the crime and awaits a verdict on Sunday.
