DUBAI // A prostitute who had Dh314,000 and 180,000 Iraqi dinars stolen by a customer from her apartment has been jailed.
The Iranian woman, 25, met two Palestinian men at a nightclub on April 14 and agreed to have sex with them for Dh2,500 at her home in Oud Mutainah.
She took the men back to her flat then later asked them to leave so she could meet another client.
But one of them asked to stay for more sex, telling her he was willing to wait. She agreed and locked him in the flat.
When she returned three hours later, she found her front door had been forced open and the money was missing from a safe.
She called police and was charged with prostitution.
The men were both charged with theft and having sex out of wedlock. Dubai Criminal Court referred them to the Court of Misdemeanours.
The woman will be deported after serving a one-year jail sentence.
