The Dubai Police website is subject to thousands of hacking attempts each day but "not a single one has been successful", a senior police official said yesterday.
The official's comments were made at the launch of a more user-friendly police website that went live last Thursday.
Most of the attacks on the website, according to Dubai Police, are from abroad but a few originate in the Emirates.
Some people had been prosecuted in connection with hacking attacks, the official said, but he declined to say how many.
