The first Fujairah International Arts Festival will open with the performance of an operetta – The Rise of Glory – based on the UAE's history and achievements and directed by Nasser Ibrahim.
Details of the opening ceremony for the 10-day festival, which will start on February 19, were revealed on Thursday.
Festival director Mohammed Al Afkham said music concerts would be held daily on an outdoor stage at Fujairah Corniche.
The gigs will feature acts from 55 countries. The closing ceremony will feature Iraqi singer Kadim Al Sahir.
