Newborn baby found in heat on rooftop in Sharjah

SHARJAH // A newborn baby has been found in good health on a rooftop in Sharjah.

Sharjah Police has launched an investigation after a resident of Al Ramla found the baby boy early on Sunday morning.

Police and emergency crews arrived to find the baby well, though he was taken to Al Qasimi Hospital for a check-up to make sure that he was not affected by exposure to the summer heat or was not suffering from any internal injuries, reported Aletihad, The National's Arabic-language sister newspaper.

Al Garb police station has been tasked with tracking down the boy’s parents and investigate why he was left on a rooftop unattended.
