Nepalese lorry driver stabbed to death in Western Region

ABU DHABI // A Nepalese lorry driver was stabbed to death at his labour camp in the Western Region when he intervened to separate two quarrelling colleagues, police said.

Brig Gen Ojail Al Junaibi, regional director of police, said one colleague attacked another with a hammer during a dispute on how to prepare dinner.

He said the victim, R B, 45, was stabbed three times and was dead when emergency services arrived at the scene.

The suspected killer, B B, 40, tried to flee the scene and was arrested. The knife thought to be used in the attack was found hidden in an air-conditioning unit.
