Messages of congratulations by dignitaries from the across the region poured in to mark UAE National Day.
Among them were the grand imam of Egypt’s Al Azhar Mosque, Ahmed Mohammed el Tayeb, who congratulated Sheikh Khalifa, the President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the people of the UAE.
Kuwait’s governor of Farwaniya, meanwhile, prayed for the preservation of the UAE.
