ABU DHABI // Two Emirati men appeared at the Appeals Court after being accused of harassing a Chinese woman at Al Bahiya Park.
A and S were reported to police after meeting the woman in a coffee shop at the park.
A said he gave her Dh200 because she could not find a ride after she allegedly tried to sell the pair Chinese electronics.
“I have read the case files and I wish I could understand this case,” said chief justice Dr Khairi Al Kabbash.
“It says your friend, S, called you to give a ride to the foreign woman because she does not know anyone and you volunteered to drop her and she asked for money...”
A was originally sentenced to a month in prison by the First Instance Court and was subsequently bailed.
The case was adjourned.
