ABU DHABI // A man who left another brain-dead after a street fight told the Criminal Court he only pushed the man but his head hit the pavement as a result.
The pair had a physical fight and one of them suffered major brain injuries that lead to 100 per cent disability, or brain-death.
He denied his charge of causing the victim’s injuries arguing that he only pushed him, but he fell and hit his head.
“It does not matter what you did exactly, but your push caused him to fall and hit his head,” said chief justice Idris Binmansour.
A verdict will be announced on Jan 28.
