SHARJAH // An African man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into shops by smashing the front windows.
Police said the man targeted stores in different locations around the emirate. Based on evidence from the crime scene, officers were able to identify the suspect and apprehend him.
During interrogations, he confessed to raiding the stores and was referred to public prosecution to face trial.
Colonel Ibrahim Musbah, head of the investigations department at Sharjah police, urged store owners to install CCTV cameras and secure their stores to prevent break ins.
