DUBAI // Motorists will now be able to refuel their cars from either side of petrol pumps at the busiest Enoc service stations.
Long hoses have been installed in 16 petrol stations so far with another 16 stations to get the hoses in September before they are added to Enoc’s entire network.
The company is putting in the new hoses with special retractors to help drivers save time, particularly at busy periods.
“The long hoses are provided for refuelling Special petrol as it has the most demand from customers,” said Burhan Al Hashemi, managing director of Enoc Retail.
The new hoses would speed up service for motorists, he said, because drivers would not have to wait for a specific pump based on the position of their vehicle’s fuel tank.
The introduction of the long hoses follows Enoc’s Vehicle Identification Pass initiative, now available across the Enoc/Eppco network for commercial users. This service allows users to pay for fuel through an automated system.
