ABU DHABI // Sheikha Sheikha bint Dhiab bin Saif Al Nahyan plays with her favourite pet, Ajeba, or "a marvel", in the garden of Sheikh Dhiab palace. The baby camel was adopted by the family after its mother rejected her. The three-year-old "black dwarf", as it is known, stopped growing at almost two metres. While some children might be fearful of such a towering animal, Sheikha Sheikha, 15 months old, even lets the baby camel nibble on her tiny hands.
Animal-loving Sheikha Sheikha and her cousins visit their pets - which include goats and chickens - daily at the Abu Dhabi palace. Sheikha Sheikha's father, Dhiab bin Saif Al Nahyan, a camel breeder and racer, bought Ajeba as a birthday present for his daughter. @Email:rghazal@thenational.ae
