Lewd wedding video accused have sentences reduced in Sharjah court

SHARJAH // The people convicted for involvement in the lewd wedding video that circulated on social media have had their sentences reduced from one year to four months each.

The ruling by the Khor Fakkan Appeals Court judge Abdullah Al Salami on Tuesday applies to each of the 13 people convicted, three of whom will be deported after serving their sentences.

This final ruling brings to an end the case that came about after a video of women dancing provocatively in front of men at a wedding went viral on social media.
