Leading world poets are expected at the inaugural Abu Dhabi International Poetry Festival on March 19. They include Patricia Smith, Kane Smego and G Yamazawa, who will participate in a programme with Emirati and regional poets.
There will be workshops, open mics, slams, and competitions and performances.
The festival was founded by Rooftop Rhythms and BrandMoxie and is being hosted by Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, with support from the US Embassy of Abu Dhabi and Fatima bint Hazza Cultural Foundation
