Kings of Leon to play in Yasalam

The American band Kings of Leon will play Abu Dhabi as part of the Yasalam series of concerts during the capital's inaugural grand prix.

The Kings Of Leon will play after the qualifying sessions for the race next to the Ferrari World theme park.

The American band Kings of Leon will play Abu Dhabi on Saturday, October 31, as part of the Yasalam series of concerts during the capital's inaugural grand prix. The band, who hail from Tennessee, are the final act to be confirmed to be playing on Yas Island, following previous confirmation of Beyonce, Aerosmith and Jamiroquai. They will play after the qualifying sessions for the race next to the Ferrari World theme park. Only fans with two or three-day tickets to the race will have access to the concert. John Lickrish, managing director of Flash Entertainment, who are organising the concerts, said: "We are thrilled to have secured Kings of Leon to perform in Abu Dhabi for the post-race crowd. To attract a band of their stature who are in such great demand the world over is a tremendous coup for Flash and for the city. Their popularity is phenomenal and we are delighted that they are coming to perform at the Yasalam after-race concerts on Yas Island."
