Khalifa Foundation sends aid to flood-stricken Malawi



The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has provided 2,280 tonnes of corn in addition to a large amount of drugs and medicines to about 650,000 people affected by the floods that swept Malawi recently, state news agency Wam reported.

An official source at the Khalifa Foundation, said that aid was purchased from the local market to support the Malawian economy.

Officials in Malawi commended the important aid provided by the UAE, expressing their thanks and gratitude to President of the UAE Sheikh Khalifa for the generous initiative.
