Dubai // A man who stole a woman’s mobile phone and threatened to post her private pictures online if she refused to have sex with him has been jailed for six months at the Dubai Criminal Court.
Z A told the Criminal Court that F M, 31, said he worked at the Roads and Transport Authority and would help her find a job there.
“He asked me to give him my CV so I met him on December 26 of 2012,” she said.
The victim said that, while they were in his car, the Emirati asked her to have sex with him.
“I refused and told him to drop me off but he didn’t,” she said. “I tried to open the car’s door while it was moving but he pulled me inside and calmed me down, assuring me he would drive me back to my car.”
But as she was leaving his vehicle he snatched her mobile phone and told her that if she did not have sex with him, he would post her personal pictures on the internet.
The Emirati defendant denied charges of theft and issuing threats.
