Hundreds to scale Dubai's Jumeirah Emirates Towers in vertical marathon

DUBAI // Hundreds of people are expected to take part in a gruelling 265-metre vertical marathon at Jumeirah Emirates Towers.

Competitors will race to the top of the 52-floor office tower via 1,334 stairs on Friday, April 5.

The event is being held with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and in collaboration with the Red Crescent Society.

Registration details are at www.dubaiverticalmarathon.org and participants can sign up here.

Those taking part are being asked to pledge a minimum of Dh500 per person, which will include a breakfast buffet the Office Tower forecourt.
