DUBAI // An executive at a five-star hotel molested a colleague half his age, after pretending he needed her to fix print settings on his computer, a Dubai court has heard.
S P, 53, an Indian, is accused of sexually assaulting E M, 26, a Tunisian, on May 27 at the hotel.
“It was 5pm when he came to me in the business lounge and asked me to help him fix his computer’s print settings,” said the Tunisian, who asked him to send her the file he wished to print by email, and she would print it for him.
However, she said he insisted that she go with him to fix his computer.
“I did and he offered that I sit on his chair, but I refused and when I bent down to check his computer, he touched me from behind,” the woman said.
She told her boss, who advised her to report him to the police, which she did.
Prosecution records said footage from the hotel’s cameras showed the man as he touched her, but he told prosecutors during interrogations that he did not mean to.
He was not in court to enter a plea, and the next hearing was set for August 16 to summon him.
