DUBAI // The Dubai Road Runners club is moving to a new location this month after spending two decades training at Safa Park.
With construction underway to bring the Dubai Creek extension through the park, the club will relocate to the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club on Jumeirah Beach Road, as of October 4. The format for its regular 6.30pm runs will change to a 5km run for adults and 2.5km for juniors.
The family oriented club welcomes runners of all ages and abilities. Founded in 1989, it has around 1,400 members and organises five race events each year from September to April for juniors as well as veterans and super veterans.
