DUBAI // The Dh692 million Al Jalila Children's Specialty Hospital is expected to open by the end of the year.

Speaking at the 2nd Ramadan conference organised by Dubai Health Authority on Monday, Issa Al Maidoor, director general of the authority, said that the hospital will offer the best comprehensive and specialised healthcare for children.

Mr Al Maidoor said the DHA’s 2025 strategic plan includes building three new hospitals: Mohammed bin Rashid Hospital, Al Maktoum Hospital and Al Khawaneej Hospital, as well as 40 healthcare centres across the emirate with the goal of meeting the growing need for healthcare services.

He added that DHA had coordinated with Dubai Municipality to decide the location of the new hospitals, and the Mohammed bin Rashid Hospital will be built near Arabian Ranches and Al Maktoum Hospital will be in Jebel Ali.
